１０年くらい前に購入したDysonの掃除機（SY24）の吸い込みが悪いので確認してみたら、ごみの吸い込み口から本体をつなぐヘッドホースがちぎれていたので、新たに部品を取り寄せ修理した。
右に示す写真が修理後の掃除機ヘッドとバラバラにちぎれていた取り換え前のヘッドホース。
部品（ヘッドホース）は、アマゾンで、約６００円で購入。純正でなく、互換という触れ込みではあったが、寸法は適合しており問題なかった。
ヘッドの分解、ホースの取付けは、Youtubeで、何人かが紹介しており、これに従った。Youtubeで扱っていたモデルと多少の違いがあり、ビスのとめいちが異なるなどの違いはあったが、なんとか取り付け作業を終了することができた。
それにしても、Youtubeがとても役立つことに、あらためて感心した次第。
２０１１年の今日（５月２日）、禁煙を開始。禁煙開始から１５年が経過した。
禁煙を開始したころは、喫煙の誘惑を感じたものだが、最近は、殆ど、意識することなく禁煙ができているようだ。
長期間、喫煙を続けることの健康上の問題が指摘されているが、私も御多分に漏れず気管支喘息/COPDとの診断を受けた。
半年ほど前、風邪をこじらせたらしく激しい咳と痰の症状が生じた。近所のクリニックで咳止め、痰切りの薬を処方してもらっていたが改善せず、呼吸器疾患を専門にする病院を紹介され診断を受けた。この時の診断結果が慢性気管支喘息/COPDとなった。以来、ステロイド薬の吸入などを行っているが、なかなか改善しない。
診断に際しては、アレルゲンの検査をおこなったが、さまざまのアレルゲンに対して全く反応せず、慢性気管支喘息/COPD発症の原因は、ほぼ、長期に亙る喫煙ということに相成った。

LetsEncryptの SSL証明書更新日がきたので恒例の更新作業をおこなった。
更新のタイムリミットが今日の午後6時となっているのをみて、冷や汗をかきながらの更新となった。
