ここ数日はトラブル続き -適当に書き連ねておいた-

Dyson 掃除機(SY24)の修理（ヘッドホースの交換）

１０年くらい前に購入したDysonの掃除機（SY24）の吸い込みが悪いので確認してみたら、ごみの吸い込み口から本体をつなぐヘッドホースがちぎれていたので、新たに部品を取り寄せ修理した。
右に示す写真が修理後の掃除機ヘッドとバラバラにちぎれていた取り換え前のヘッドホース。
部品（ヘッドホース）は、アマゾンで、約６００円で購入。純正でなく、互換という触れ込みではあったが、寸法は適合しており問題なかった。
ヘッドの分解、ホースの取付けは、Youtubeで、何人かが紹介しており、これに従った。Youtubeで扱っていたモデルと多少の違いがあり、ビスのとめいちが異なるなどの違いはあったが、なんとか取り付け作業を終了することができた。
それにしても、Youtubeがとても役立つことに、あらためて感心した次第。
禁煙を15年間継続したが・・・
May 2, 2026 – 5:58 pm２０１１年の今日（５月２日）、禁煙を開始。禁煙開始から１５年が経過した。
禁煙を開始したころは、喫煙の誘惑を感じたものだが、最近は、殆ど、意識することなく禁煙ができているようだ。
長期間、喫煙を続けることの健康上の問題が指摘されているが、私も御多分に漏れず気管支喘息/COPDとの診断を受けた。
半年ほど前、風邪をこじらせたらしく激しい咳と痰の症状が生じた。近所のクリニックで咳止め、痰切りの薬を処方してもらっていたが改善せず、呼吸器疾患を専門にする病院を紹介され診断を受けた。この時の診断結果が慢性気管支喘息/COPDとなった。以来、ステロイド薬の吸入などを行っているが、なかなか改善しない。
診断に際しては、アレルゲンの検査をおこなったが、さまざまのアレルゲンに対して全く反応せず、慢性気管支喘息/COPD発症の原因は、ほぼ、長期に亙る喫煙ということに相成った。

LetsEncrypt SSL 証明書の更新(2026/05/02 実施)

更新のタイムリミットが今日の午後6時となっているのをみて、冷や汗をかきながらの更新となった。

証言 原子力規制委員会は何をめざしたか
April 19, 2026 – 2:39 pm３月末の日経の読書欄に本書「証言 原子力規制委員会は何をめざしたか」の書評がでていた。
近所の公立図書館の蔵書のなかにこれがあるのをみつけて予約、読んでみた。
本書は３部構成となっており、３部では「原子力規制委員会確立の軌跡」として初代ならびに二代目の規制委員長、田中俊一、更田豊志、中村佳代子委員、池田克彦規制庁初代長官と初期の幹部職員（安田正也、櫻田道夫）に対するインタビューの内容の詳細が証言としてまとめられている。
この証言を通じて、2011年の東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の「壊滅的」な事故で失墜した原子力への信頼を取り戻すために規制体系を再構築しようとした努力を見ることができる。委員長などの証言はマスコミなどを通じて受けていた印象とはかなり異なるもので、日本の原子力の歴史にとって、未来を展望するうえで欠くことのできないものとの印象を受けた。
特に、田中俊一委員長の証言については、原子力の基礎分野の研究者の深い識見を証言のなかにみることができた。以下、私にとって印象的な部分について証言内容をメモしておいた。
